E.ON further expands its generation position in the United States. According to the company, construction has now begun on the 151-megawatt Peyton Creek project in Matagorda County, Texas. The wind farm is expected to go into operation before the end of 2019 and then generate renewable energy for the equivalent of 45,000 households.

The project will consist of 48 Nordex turbines of the 3.15 megawatt class. Peyton Creek is E.ON’s 24th wind project in North America. With the new building, E.ON will exceed the 4,000 megawatt mark of total installed capacity in the USA. Further projects are in preparation.
